Junior Muay Thai Fighter
Most Outstanding Junior Female In The World Championships 2015
Young Sportsperson Of The Year 2015
Muay Thai teen sensation Dakota Ditcheva is flavour of the month in the combat sports world right now and it’s easy to see why. Perhaps the most exciting athlete of her generation, Dakota is currently undefeated on the professional Muay Thai circuit, and remains a terrific role model for women of all ages everywhere.
Daughter of combat sports world champion Lisa Howarth, Dakota has the raw, natural talent required to emulate her mother’s fine achievements and then some. The youngster has already defeated many of the best female fighters in her age bracket, and many key pundits are tipping her for a huge future in combat sports.
Dakota has also received substantial recognition from media outlets in her time as a pro fighter, winning the Young Sportsperson Of The Year in 2015, starring in a feature for The Manchester Evening News, and also acting as the subject in an episode of the BBC series “This Is Me”.
Despite the staggering amount of press attention that’s already come her way, Dakota nonetheless remains a humble, reserved and modest teenager outside the ring. She carries the Tanko brand name with grace and aplomb, and we’re proud to have a female touted by some as “the next Ronda Rousey” among our ranks.
MMA Fighter & Coach
Semi-Finalist on The Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes
Former Ultimate Fighting Championship competitor
The only Manchester-born fighter to have competed in America’s kingpin MMA promotion The Ultimate Fighting Championship, Brendan Loughnane is one of the most passionate combat sports athletes you’ll ever encounter.
A semi-finalist on The Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes and a previous winner at big British MMA promotions like BAMMA and Full Contact Contender, Brendan has continued to go from strength to strength since becoming a professional, coaching fledgling fighters at Stockport-based All Powers Gym in his spare time.
Despite his ruthless, fierce fighting style, Brendan remains a fun-loving, down-to-earth young man outside the cage. His natural charm and genuine passion for MMA are a winning combination when it comes to press interviews, and he has enormous support behind him at every single event he competes at.
He might have achieved a lot in his Mixed Martial Arts career already, but 2016 is Brendan’s biggest year yet by far. Tanko are excited to be such a big part of it.
